Software Innovation Receives Key Contract from Chevron Part of “Major Capital Projects Information Management” system Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario – May 17, 2006 - Software Innovation has secured an important contract with Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX), one of the world’s leading energy companies. The Coreworx™ solution to be deployed will enhance the ability of Chevron to manage project execution content and processes. Chevron selected Software Innovation’s Coreworx to be part of its “Major Capital Projects Information Management” (MCPIM) systems after an extensive review and evaluation process that encompassed the areas of workflow, document management & control, transmittal management, view/markup and other functional areas. The review process also focused closely on integration, scalability, total cost of ownership and ease of use. The overall goal was to evaluate the business and project processes in which information was managed from FEED and detailed design, through handover to operations and how those processes could best be supported by technology. “Chevron needed a solution that would support the propagation of best practices and standards across the enterprise,” says Software Innovation CEO Ray Simonson, “and the real trick was accomplishing that without sacrificing the ability to quickly and easily reconfigure to meet the unique needs of individual projects. Coreworx is purpose-built to support the needs of the CAPEX environment, and so this challenge was addressed by out-of-the-box functionality in our solution.” About Chevron About Software Innovation |
